| Kevin Leeds - Guitar, Vocals |
|
Leeds aims to join all the world's dialects into a single epic poem. His powerful and lucid style is fed by the common roots that bind and sustain us all. Leeds is like the African griot, a poet and wandering musician responsible for carrying on the traditions of the tribe. He adapts this role as stripping away the veneer of our everyday lives and exposing the passions that exist within us all.
Leeds, a native of Chicago, was raised on a steady diet of the blues. At a young age he began to explore the roots of this and other traditions, uncovering the unique elements of many cultures and joining them into a rich musical palette. His songs draw from many sources while maintaining a strong cohesive narrative, a testament to our world of many voices with one blood and one soul. His lyrics express reverence for the essential aspects of life: that truth lies within, that the act of searching places us on the path toward inspiration, and that beauty exists in every moment if we choose to see it.
